Party Animal

HAHAHAHA. YEAH RIGHT. Ask anyone and they can tell you I am NOT a party animal. However I have been to some parties this weekend, just not like the ones people have at school. So, Saturday was Seth and Rachel's wedding and it was beautiful. It was so sweet and kind of odd to watch Seth get married. I don't know how to explain it. Even the way Seth talks makes me want to laugh because it's so unique, and so it was strange hearing him say those vows. Kristen and I were talking and saying how of all the kids in the Patton, Park, Little family circuit, we would NOT have picked Seth to be the first one to marry after Jonathan after growing up with him. But to be perfectly fair, Kristen got engaged over half a year before Seth, so she technically is the next to pledge to make the leap of faith, and I don't know if growing up I would have picked her either. My sister was THE Ms. Independent, and I am not exaggerating. But I am happy with how it has all turned out because I really like Rachel, and I love James and am excited to get to call him my brother-in-law. *smile* =) I also was at my brother, Jonathan, and his son, Tyler's birthday party on Sunday, although their actual bdays were Friday. It was fun, and they did a Thomas the Engine theme because Tyler LOVES it. He loved some cake too. He looked hilarious chowing down on his huge chunk of cake that Thomas was on. *smile* =)

Then, last night, we had so much fun at the McFarlin's house. First, Tom, Ben, Will, Henry, Travis, and I all played volleyball, and then we went back to their house. We got Subway, and while we were eating we got into this big debate on whether married couples should have separate accounts from each other and it was basically boys (they should) versus girls (they shouldn't). And I was the ONLY girl there. Thankfully, Beth arrived and TOTALLY helped me out, and Travis was quiet after she got there! hahaha!! =) It got so loud that we had to go to the basement so Mr. Tommy and Mrs. Patti could watch tv and actually hear it too. We ended up sitting in a circle on all the chairs and couches passing a phone around and only the person with the phone could talk because everyone was interrupting. (That was Ben's idea! =) Ok, so in the end Tom said he didn't mean it to blow up into that because he was originally just giving me a hard time but that he probably wouldn't want to have an account separate from me. WOOHOO! that only took five years *wink* hehehe Then we got into a discussion about boys talking ...or lack thereof, on the phone with their girlfriends. That was funny and less debating, so it wasn't bad. Suzanne got back from Mexico, so she came over too, and that was nice- I hadn't seen her in a while. She is turning 21 on June 2nd, and I will be in Savannah, so let me say here: Happy Birthday Suze!!

So anyway, Kristen is getting married THIS SATURDAY! whew, it's gonna be busy this week. Today she and I are going shopping for last minute things, but before we shop, we are going to get makeovers at Lancome! YAY!! Fun girlyness! (I never really get makeovers, so this is fun for me!) Also, we leave tomorrow for the beach, and I am excited because Tom is coming. But honestly, there are so many people that are going to be staying in the beach house and there is so much that will be going on that I am worried that it will either not be fun due to the stress, and that his first time staying with our family is not going to be normal. Well I know it won't be normal. We are staying at Tybee, long walk to the beach, loads of people in the house that aren't related to the family, running around preparing for the wedding, stressing about not getting burnt or tanlines, no putt-putt tournament, no outlets, no bike trails, no hot tub, no pool,....basically it will be NOTHING like our normal vacation. And this is the first time he comes with us. Oh well, I hope we make the best of it and have fun. I think it would be more fun if he could stay after the wedding, but he is going back early to do the voice of the puppet for VBS at Bethany. I am not coming back until Tuesday, so I can't do VBS until Wednesday.

Ok, well I know that was a lot of stuff all rolled into three paragrahs, but hopefully you got my jist. I need to get a shower and get dressed for the day so Kristen doesn't wait any longer.

Latah my hoes!
